Tennis Overhead for Winning Results

Learning the tennis overhead technique is not easy, but it is vital to playing a complete tennis game. We will break down the technique into three steps consisting of the preparation, the hitting zone, and stroke ending. The ACE System makes this simple. When a tennis player comes to the net, he has to be able to end the point with an overhead, if necessary. He also has to defend against the lob. Many people think my height of 6 feet 6 inches makes it almost impossible for a lob to get over my head. Yes, my height is an advantage, but it’s not a guarantee of successful implementation. If I fail to execute the overhead correctly, then my height advantage is neutralized. The overhead was one of my best shots because I practiced it over and over on the
tennis ball machine.
The repetition of the form gave me good results, and later I tweaked my form with the Ace technique. The backhand overhead technique is a shot that isn’t used much, but when it’s needed, it’s nice to be confident that the form will work. Load the weight on your left foot, lift your elbow into the final “pronation drill” position (palm facing the other side of the court), and extend to the contact point. Just like the serve, the continental grip is used for the overhead. Also like the serve, be careful not to let the grip slip over into the eastern or semi-western forehand grip. This may give you power with a “slap shot” effect, but it will cost you control. After a few practice sessions, you'll be able to apply the tennis instruction on the overhead technique to your personal game. Experience what so many others have with this tennis technique. You can master the overhead with this world-class tennis instruction. Here are a few basics for the overhead technique (for right-handers—lefties, reverse the instruction)…
The Preparation 1. Athletic stance…jump step and pivot The Hitting Zone 2. Left hand pointed to the ball with right upper and lower arm in the "L" position 3. Weight loaded on the right foot 4. Transfer weight from right foot to left foot The Ending 5. Hand moves by ear with racket head "on edge" then “ulnar deviate and pronation.”
